All the bags were packed and zipped.  We were ready to depart for the hotel near the airport for the early morning departure.  Then the phone rang.  It was Kalyn.  Her passport was missing.

It was probably in a file, or maybe in the bag she had taken to the driver’s license facility where she had recently had her name changed….

One hour of intense looking……

Two hours of intense looking…….

Three hours of intense looking…….

Well, we weren’t giving up, but Nathan and I got in the car to go ahead to St. Louis.  We had tried the overnight emergency numbers.  No help from the Canadian border tonight.  But maybe we should put her on the plane and leave her in Buffalo, NY.  We just kept praying the Lord would bring a breakthrough.   4,600 people were on the other side of her obedience.

As Nate and I got ready to drive off, we decided to call the director of Acquire the Fire. Perhaps they knew some trick.  Just as Doug was speaking, one of the kids came running and shouting out of the house.

Way to go, God.  Two different people had prayed and said to look again in the car.  It was there all along.  Hidden from us…but not God!
